Obituary of Vincent Cartiglia
Vincent "Ace" Cartiglia, 78, of Freehold Twp, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Twp. Mr. Cartiglia was born in New York City, was raised in Brooklyn, and had lived in New Dorp and Oakwood sections of Staten Island before moving to Freehold Twp. in 2002. He was a butcher for Cangiano's Pork Store, Staten Island, NY, until his retirement. Prior to that, he was a meat supervisor for Dairy Dell Caterers and was the owner of C & S Meat Market, Brooklyn.
Mr. Cartiglia is survived by his wife, Jean, of Freehold Twp.; two sons, Salvatore Cartiglia of Staten Island and Al Cartiglia, and his wife, Marilyn, of Lakewood, NJ; 4 grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer, Anthony and Vincent; 1 great granddaughter, Savannah; a brother, Salvatore Cartiglia, of California and two sisters, Carmella Romano of Boca Raton, FL, and Sally Ingrassia of Staten Island, NY.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Friday, September 2, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp.
