We met Surekha and her first son Jonathan several years ago through our nephew, Rob Collier, his wife, Joan, and their son Ryan, who are close friends of the Briggs family. Little did we know that my husband Charles would eventually be treated by Surekha's husband, Dr. Jonathan Briggs, at Jersey Shore Medical Center. We felt close to their beautiful family through the excellent care he was given and the connection with our nephew's family....

We were heartbroken to hear about the loss of such a precious person and dedicated physician, and we extend our deepest sympathy to Surekha's family. She will be remembered always....
