Obituary of Lowell Phelan

Lowell J. Phelan, 73 of Freehold Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold Township, NJ. Mr. Phelan was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived in Beacon, NY before moving to Freehold Twp. in 2004. He was an insurance underwriter for Banker's Life & Casualty Co. in Hempsted, L.I. for 30 years. Lowell was a past Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus, Council 126 in Brooklyn and a Sergeant in the US Marine Corp. Mr. Phelan is predeceased by a son, Lowell J. Phelan Jr. in 2000. Surviving is his Wife, Barbara, a Son, John M. Phelan of Brooklyn, two Daughters, Kimberly Phelan of NYC, Kelly and her Husband Michael Amrani of Manalapan, NJ. Three Grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, and Amanda Amrani. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 2-4 PM & 7-8:30 PM with his funeral service at 8:30 PM on Friday.
