Obituary of Daniel Golding

Daniel J. Golding, 72, of Farmingdale, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Daniel was born in Hillside and raised in the Shark River Hills section of Neptune, and had lived in Ocean Township before moving to Farmingdale. He was a Park Ranger for the Monmouth County Park System for over twenty years, working at the Shark River Park, the Howell Park Golf Course and the Monmouth County Fair Grounds, retiring in 1993. Prior to that, Daniel was the Golf Pro at Twin Brook Golf Course, Neptune. He was an avid golfer and hunter. Daniel was a member of the Ardena Baptist Church, and a founding member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #105, Howell. Daniel is survived by his wife, Theresa Golding; three sons, Richard Golding and his wife, Maria, of Neptune, Daniel Golding, Jr. of Farmingdale and Vinny Piasecki of Farmingdale; two grandchildren, Samantha and Thomas; a brother, Ernie Golding of North Carolina; and a sister, Betty Anne Powell of Virginia. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Monday, October 3, 2011. Interment to follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
