Obituary of Wilfred Reyes
Wilfred Reyes, 67, of Freehold Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Puerto Rico, raised and lived in the Bronx until moving to Freehold in 1994. Wilfred provided three years of dedicated service in the United States Marine Corps. He served in Vietnam and earned three medals, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Wilfred worked for Verizon Wireless for 13 years as a computer analyst. In his spare time, he loved computers, achieved a black belt in Karate and his license as a dealer in the game of Craps.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosa Reyes of Freehold Township; son, Wilfredo Reyes and his wife, Stephanie of Texas; daughters, Briana Reyes and her fiancé, Robert Ferriole of Freehold, and Vanessa Reyes of Florida; six grandchildren, Ariana, Jaden, Alyssa, Gunner, Jonathan, and Lorenzo; brother, Herman Reyes of Florida; sister, Marilyn Reyes of the Bronx, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 12:00 Noon funeral service on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C.
