Obituary of Robert DeMarco

Robert J. DeMarco, 79, of Jackson passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.  He worked as an accountant for Rhone-Poulenc in Cranbury, retiring in 2001.  Robert was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Jackson and enjoyed traveling with his family, especially trips to Long Beach Island.  Robert loved his family, and his grandchildren were the apple of his eye. 

Robert is survived by his wife, Lucy DeMarco of Jackson; children, Gina DeMarco of Forest Hill, MD, and Christa Rice and her husband, Peter of Howell; grandsons, Peter and Andrew Rice; sister, Georgetta Hardy and her husband, Ralph of Woodland Park; niece, Corinne Hardy; and nephew, Glenn Hardy.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 8:15 AM for the procession to his 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson.  Interment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, 549 County Road 520, Marlboro Township.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.  For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
