Obituary of Christopher Lamia
Christopher Lamia, 51, of Howell passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Chris was born and raised in Brooklyn, eventually settling in Howell in 1998. He was an electrician for IBEW Local 3, Flushing Queens. His hobbies included golfing, fishing and rooting for the New Jersey Devils. A sports enthusiast, Chris coached his daughter’s softball team and his son’s hockey team.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Lamia in 2001. Chris is survived by his wife, Stephanie Lamia of Howell; son, Christopher Lamia, daughter, Vienna Lamia; mother, Susan Lamia of Toms River; sisters, Caroline Laura of Long Island, Rosemary Lejkowski and her husband, Richard of Toms River, and Michelle Geraci and her husband, Mel of Howell; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:30 AM Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Road, Freehold Township.
