Obituary of Rita H. D'Amore

Rita H. D’Amore, 90, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at CareOne at Wall.  Rita was born and raised in Waterbury, CT and had lived in Brooklyn before moving to Freehold in 1998.  She was a homemaker, a member of the Sons of Italy, and volunteered for Catholic Charities. 

Rita was predeceased by her husband, Dominic D’Amore in 1995.  She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Selig of Freehold and Diane Koellner and her husband, John of Englishtown; two grandchildren, Samantha Shevchuk and her husband, Andriy of Brick and Evan Koellner of Englishtown; and a nephew, Angelo LoBianco and his wife, Marie of Hewitt, NJ

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.  Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.  Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent, NJ.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
