Obituary of George Miller

George Miller, 77, of Manchester passed away suddenly at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township on Thursday, October 5, 2017.  George was born in Brooklyn, and lived on Staten Island before moving to Riviera in Freehold Township, and eventually settling in Manchester.   George was a butcher his whole life, and was a generous business owner who donated to worthwhile causes.  A devout Catholic, he attended mass every Sunday.  A fan of all sports, he was an avid Yankee and Ranger fan.  George’s hobbies included watching horse races, and he would frequent Freehold Raceway and Monmouth Racetrack.

George is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Josephine Miller of Manchester; daughter, Kim Tota and her husband, Michael of Jackson; sons, Joseph Miller of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Michael Miller of Manchester; and grandchildren, Michael, Sam, Marisa, Christopher and Thomas. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 10:30 AM at the funeral home on Monday, October 9, 2017 for the procession to his 11:30 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.  Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
