Obituary of Ines Barriga

Ines Barriga, 100, of New York City passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Mount Sinai St. Lukes, NYC.  She was born in Quito, Ecuador, came to the United States in 1958, moved to Puerto Rico and returned to New York City.  Mami Ines was an entrepreneur at heart.  She was a true city girl who could feel the pulse of the city by the love that she had for fashion, the theater, and the arts.  Mami Ines was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and a doting great grandmother and great great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband Anibal Barriga.  Mami Ines is survived by her daughter, Yolanda Arnau and her husband, Joseph of Freehold; granddaughters, Maria Frischholz and her husband, Tim of Missouri, Cookie Carrier and her husband, Ken of Freehold and JoAnn Venetos and her husband, Michael of Howell; great grandchildren, Timmy Frischholz, Joey Frischholz, David Frischholz, Kaitlynne Frischholz, Kenny Carrier, Nicky Carrier, Joey Carrier, Zachery Venetos, Joshua Venetos and Mikey Venetos; and one great great grandchild, Tanner Frischholz.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 6:30 PM.  Interment will be private.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
