Obituary of Ann D. Dayton
Ann D. Dayton, 82, of Howell passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Hoboken, she had lived in Scranton, PA then Old Bridge for thirty years before retiring to Howell. Ann was an instructional assistant at Voorhees Elementary School in the Old Bridge School System for many years. She enjoyed listening to country music and was enthralled by the true-life tales of love experienced by those dearest to her. A fan of the races, she could be found at the Monmouth Park Racetrack or on trips to Atlantic City. Ann’s greatest joy shined through in the love she shared with her husband for their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ann is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, William J. Dayton, Sr. of Freehold Township; children, Carol Seifert and her husband, Ross of Ocean City, William J. Dayton, Jr. and his wife, Patti of Freehold Township, and Ann Marie Belli and her husband, Gene of Howell; grandchildren, Kevin, Sean and his wife, Kate, Heather, Adam and his husband, Dan, Devon and her husband, Jeff, Samantha, Taryn and her fiancé, Rahul, and Stephanie; great grandchildren, Maximus Brian and Daniil Alexander; and loving lifelong friends, Sally Goeb and her husband, Bob, and their daughter, Kirsten of New Egypt.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow in Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
