Obituary of Constance C. Gillespie
Constance C. Gillespie, 90, of Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Monmouth Crossing in Freehold. She was born and raised in Freehold Borough, moved to Toms River in 1996, and after being displaced by Hurricane Sandy, moved back to Freehold. Constance worked as a phone operator for Bell Atlantic in Freehold Borough from 1947 to 1986. She was an artist who enjoyed arts, crafts, and gardening. Constance loved her grandchildren and had a special bond with her great grandson.
Constance was predeceased by her husband, George C. Gillespie in 1996, and her son, George C. Gillespie, III in 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Gwen Baker and her husband, Frank of Freehold Township; grandchildren, Andrew Baker and his wife, Megan of Brick, and Cameron Baker of Freehold Township; and a great grandson, Nolan Baker.
A gathering of friends will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 5:30 PM. A burial of cremains will be in Brigadier General William C.
