Obituary of Anne Marie Rozzi

Anne Marie Rozzi, 88, of Howell passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn, settling in Howell 17 years ago.  Anne worked as a switchboard operator for Gaines Leasing in the Bronx.  She was a parishioner of the Church of St. Veronica, Howell.  Anne enjoyed cooking and baking, but most of all she loved her family.

Anne was predeceased by her husband, Matthew James Rozzi; and parents Dominic and Asunta “Susie” Vitale.  She is survived by her children, Matthew Rozzi and his wife, Jeanette of Freehold, Suzann McDermott and her husband, John of Pennsylvania, and Joseph Rozzi and his wife, Maria of Freehold; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and her companion of 32 years, Anthony Jacono of Howell.

Visitation will take place at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday December 19, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 8:00 AM for the procession to her 9:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9, Howell.  Interment will follow in Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anne’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.  For information, directions, or condolence messages to family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
