Obituary of Thomas George Hoff
Thomas G. Hoff, Sr., 70, of Jackson Township left his family and friends to celebrate the amazing life he led. Tom joined the Marine Corps in 1964 so that he could join the fight in Vietnam. While they say he “officially” left the Marine Corps in 1968, Tom was all that a Marine could be throughout his life. He eventually became a charter member of the Jackson Marine Corps League. Tom started a career in asbestos work and moved into a career at Middlesex County Jail as the maintenance supervisor, although he would tell you with a smile that he was the “head janitor”.
With a strong love for fishing and hunting, Tom became part owner of the Tarbuck Hunting Club and his small piece of paradise known as “The Farm”, where for over 30 years, he and a group of hunters built amazing memories together.
Tom was well known for sharing great advice, telling stories that were filled with laughter and making memories that his friends and family will share for years to come. As Tom would say, Semper Fi.
He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Hoff, Jr. thirty years ago. Thomas is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Frederick; his daughter, Shannon Muncy; sons, Tom Hoff, Jr. and his wife, Kim, and Erik Hoff. He will be remembered with love by his sisters, Dorothy Gallo and Maryann Finney; his granddaughters, Kaitlyn Hoff and Samantha Muncy; and his three great grandchildren, Zoey, Alivia and Philip Hassler, Jr.
