Obituary of Raymond Bellino
Raymond A. Bellino, 85, of Freehold passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born and raised in Jersey City, he moved to Freehold in 1996. A proud veteran, Raymond served his county by joining the United States Army in 1956. He was a professional baseball scout, recruiting players for the Cincinnati Reds and was the 1982 Scout of the Year recipient. Raymond was a sheriff’s officer in Hudson County and inductee of the Hudson County Hall of Fame.
He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Anna Bellino; and brothers, Joseph Bellino, Frank Bellino and Anthony Bellino. Raymond is survived by his children, Raymond Bellino and his wife, Dana of Jackson, Perry Bellino and his wife, Linda of Roswell, GA, Marie Heitner and her husband, Fred of Fords, Margaret Lamb and her husband, Brian of Tinton Falls, and John Bellino of Neptune; grandchildren, Dan, Eric, Jessica, Michael and his wife, Ashley, Christina, Ali and her husband, Bobby, Dustin, Samantha and her husband, Doug, Conor and Tyler; and great granddaughter, Lillian Rose.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 9:00 AM for the procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
