Obituary of Gloria Costa
Gloria Costa, 89, of Howell passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. She was a lifelong resident of Bayonne and settled in Howell in 1986. Gloria was the supervisor of scheduling and payroll for New York Bell Telephone in New York City, retiring in 1978. She attended St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Freehold and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Gloria was a world traveler with her husband and especially enjoyed their cruises. She also enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Gloria was an avid reader and liked word puzzles. Along with her husband, she loved to entertain her family. Gloria was an excellent baker and was known for her sugar cookies on Christmas.
Gloria was predeceased by husband of 65 years, Jesus Costa; sister, Emilia Argul; and brother-in-law, Jose Argul. She is survived by her two children, Linda Brusotti and her husband, Alex of Manchester, and Henry “Hank” Costa and his wife, Patti of Maplewood; six grandsons, Adam Brusotti and his wife, Melissa of Howell, Matthew Brusotti and his wife, Allison of Houston, TX, Kevin Brusotti of Manchester, Justin Costa and his wife, Katie of Leverett, MA, Todd Costa of Springfield, NJ, and Dylan Costa of Maplewood; 5 great grandchildren, Jonathan, Christina, Adrianna, Nora, and Annie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM funeral service on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 33 Throckmorton Street, Freehold, NJ 07728. Entombment will be private in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Gloria’s name may be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
