Obituary of Erika L. Bondo
Erika L. Bondo, 78, of Freehold Township passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Berlin, Germany, Erika came to the United States in 1965 and lived in Jackson prior to moving to Freehold Township in 1977. She had worked as a waitress at the Schnitzelhaus, Browns Mills, where she meet her husband, Mark. Erika then worked at the Sheraton Gardens in Freehold Township. She later found her true calling in life, working in Princeton as a sales associate at Steilmann European Fashion Imports and then Jaeger Lecoultre. She took great joy in the friendships she formed with customers and her coworkers. Erika was an independent woman who had a passion for shopping, an adventure for travel and a love for the beach. Along with her husband, she was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, Freehold Township.
She was predeceased by her sister, Helga; and brother, Bernd. Erika is survived by her loving husband, Mark Bondo of Freehold Township; a sister, Evelyn Archut of Germany; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may gather at Hope Lutheran Church, 211 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Inurnment will be held at Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
