Obituary of Eugene Edward McCue

Eugene Edward “Gene” McCue, 88, of Manalapan passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at The Gardens at Monroe Healthcare & Rehabilitation, Monroe. Born in Newark on June 13, 1929 to Patrick and Ada McCue of Riverstick, Ireland, he lived in Roselle Park before moving to Manalapan in 2003.

He was predeceased by his wife, Victoria Morales McCue in 2015; brother, Joseph McCue; and sister, Dorothy. Gene is survived by his daughter, Debra Powell and her husband, David of Williamston, MI; son, Kevin McCue and his wife, Charlotte of Freehold Township; grandchildren, Taylor Victoria Powell, Harrison David Powell, Wesley Daniel McCue, Justin Edward McCue and Jennifer Noelle McCue; great granddaughter, Isabel; and sister, Mary Gerlach.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 8:30 AM until the procession to his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Entombment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Freehold.
