Obituary of Dawn Marie Golaszewski

Dawn Marie Golaszewski, 47, of Morganville passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  She was born in Queens, raised in Brooklyn and settled in Morganville in 2009.  Dawn was a true homemaker and a great cook who would make whatever her kids wanted.  Everything about her was special, especially how she always put others first.  She was loved by everyone, and loved them in return.  A strong woman, Dawn battled and survived cancer.  Involved in her kids lives to the fullest, she supported them at all of their sports activities and was a Girl Scout cookie mom for Morganville Troop 257.  Dawn had a good sense of humor and loved joking around and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Victoria Marie Golaszewski; her mother, Louise S. Gipson; and her father-in-law, Chester Golaszewski.  Dawn is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Teddy Golaszewski; sons, Anthony Golaszewski, Christopher Golaszewski and Thomas Golaszewski; and daughter, Gianna Golaszewski, all of Morganville; father, James Gipson and his wife, Carol of Lake George, NY; brothers, James Gipson and his wife, Theresa of Queens, NY and Steven Gipson of Long Island, NY; sister, Stacey Marie Vecchione and her husband, Daniel of Long Island, NY; and mother-in-law, Amelia Golaszewski of Brooklyn, NY. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Church of St. Gabriel, 100 North Main Street, Marlboro.  Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, NY 11379.
