Obituary of Joan Sullivan
Joan Sullivan, 85, of The Bronx and Spring Lake, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune NJ surronded by her loving family. She was born in Coomaspeara, County Kerry, Ireland and immigrated to the United States in 1956.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, John in 1979; sisters Mary Moriarty and Sheila Dwyer; and brothers, Timmy O'Sullivan and William O'Sullivan. She is survived by sons, Sylvester and his wife, Bridget of Bloomingburg, NY, and John and his wife, Janet of Point Pleasant; daughter, Mary Ann Doyle and her husband, John of Farmingdale; and eight grandchildren, John, Deirdre, James, Fiona, Jeana, John, Joseph and James. She is also survived by sisters Anne Callan, Teresa Howard, Kathleen Daly, Noreen Lavin, brothers Sonny O’Sullivan and Denis O’Sullivan and many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, 2969 Otis Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465. Interment will follow in St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465.

They wish to express their deepest gratitude for taking such good care of their mother.
