Obituary of Anthony Pagliaro

Anthony P. "Tony" Pagliaro, 86, of Freehold Township passed away at CentraState Medical Center on Thursday, September 20, 2012. Tony was born and raised in Conshohocken, PA and had lived in Philadelphia, Plymouth Meeting, and Boston, MA before settling to Freehold Twp. in 1969. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Villanova University and his Master's Degree in Business Administration and Hospital and Nursing Home Administration from George Washington University. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran during World War II, serving in the European Theater. Tony was the Owner and Administrator of Summit Nursing Home, Lakewood retiring in 1986. He was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Tony was a fellow and founding member of the American College of Healthcare Administrators. He was also a member of the American Hospital Association and The Society of Licensed Nursing Home Administrators of New Jersey. Tony was predeceased by two brothers, Adam and Carmen. He is survived by his wife, Jean; a son, Anthony Pagliaro and his wife, Lisa of Broadlands, VA; a daughter, Mary Giunta and her husband, Robert of Reading, MA; five grandchildren, Sophia, Dylan, Charlie, Danny, and Eva; a sister, Mary Caruso of Ambler, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, September, 26, 2012 at 9:00 AM for the procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp. for his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Tony may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
