Obituary of Theresa Chadwick
Theresa A. Chadwick, 100, of Freehold Township passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at The Manor, Freehold Township. She was born in Staten Island, New York to Julia and Vincent Bonica. Theresa was very proud to be a native Staten Islander. She moved to Freehold Township eight years ago to be near family, but always considered Staten Island to be home.
Theresa was a graduate of Curtis High School. She enjoyed being a homemaker. Theresa always stressed the importance of family and was happiest being surrounded by family and friends. She was a lifetime parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and a member of the Horizon Senior Club which she attended with friends for many years. Theresa was an original member of the Staten Island Volunteer Heart Ambulance (Volly Heart) where she was a volunteer for the first few years of its inception.
Theresa was predeceased by her husband, David Leo Chadwick in 1983 and grandson, Robert Chadwick, Jr. in 2016. She is survived by her son, Robert Chadwick, Sr. of Boyton Beach, Florida; daughter, Carol Jenkins and her husband, Robert of Freehold Township; granddaughter, Christina Leland and her husband, James of North Dakota; and two great grandchildren, Leighton Leland and Collin Chadwick.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 8:30 AM for the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 90 3rd Street, New Dorp Lane entrance, Staten Island.
