Obituary of Charles A. Giarratano
Charles A. Giarratano, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Bartley Health Care, Jackson. He was born in Manhattan and raised in Brooklyn. Charles had lived on Staten Island before settling in Jackson in 1987. He owned and operated Consumer City Sales and Service on Staten Island. Charles was passionate about his T.V. business and retired as a repairman in 1991. He was also a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Freehold Township. Charles loved his work and church, but his main focus was his family.
Charles was predeceased by his first wife, Josephine Lanza Giarratano in 2000 and his second wife, Gertrude Brown Giarratano in 2013. He is survived by his children, Vincent Giarratano and his wife, Christina formally of Staten Island and now of Clearwater, FL, Anthony Giarratano and his wife, Ann of Jackson, Theresa Brock and her husband, David of Yardley, PA, and Louisa Perez and her husband, Louis of Niagara Falls, NY; seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township, on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday, March 16, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, 454 Tennent Road, Manalapan.
