Obituary of Dolores E. Smith
Dolores E. Smith, 85, of Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at home. She was born in Newark and had lived in Staten Island before settling in Freehold in 1969. Dolores owned and operated Yorktown Hair & Nail Salon in Freehold Township for 33 years, retiring in 2006. She was a parishioner of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Marlboro and a long-time bingo worker.
Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Smith in 1998; parents, Herman and Mary Spera; sister, Marie Kinsella in 1996; and brother-in-law, George Smith in 2010. She is survived by her daughters, Dolores Ann “Dee” Munoz and her husband, Bob of Freehold; Debbie Eisenkerch and her husband, Billy of Toms River, Dorothy Kinneman and her husband, Jeff of Missouri City, Texas, and Donna Huskey and her husband, Bill of Freehold; siblings, Herman Spera of New Port Richey, Florida, Arlene Driscoll Lashine of Manalapan, and Robert Algere of Manahawkin; nine grandchildren, Robby, Christie, Lisa, Bryan, Nicole, DJ, Megan, Missy, and Jenna; and four great grandchildren, Riley, Mason, Robert, and Rilyn.
Visiting will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 8:45 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 100 North Main Street, Marlboro. Interment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, 549 Newman Springs Road, Marlboro.
