Obituary of Jacqueline Evangelista
Jacqueline Evangelista, 52, of Manalapan passed away at home on Thursday, April 12, 2018. She was born and raised in Jersey City and settled in Manalapan in 1994 to raise her family. Jackie worked as a dedicated paraprofessional at Lafayette Mills School in Manalapan. She loved her job, co-workers, and the children that she worked with. Jackie enjoyed trips to Disney with her family and traveling up and down the Jersey Shore, especially to Cape May and Atlantic City. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Manalapan. Most of all, Jackie loved to spend time with her husband and children.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents, James Valdora in 2006 and Joan Valdora in 2018. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Peter Evangelista of Manalapan; children, Nicole, Danielle, and Peter Vincent Evangelista of Manalapan; siblings, Geralyn Valdora of Freehold, James Valdora of Florida, and Robert Valdora of Belmar; canine companion, Roo; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 186 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jackie’s name may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
