Obituary of Joseph F. Boywitt, Jr.

Joseph F. Boywitt, Jr., 79, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.   He was born in Long Branch, raised in Colts Neck and lived in Wall and Freehold Township.  Joe then spent some years living in Coudersport, PA before moving back to Freehold Township in 2014.    He enjoyed rebuilding cars and classic cars, as well as deer hunting.  Joe worked for the County of Monmouth as a laborer in the Road Department.

He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Boywitt in 2011; and a sister, Eleanor Muhsgnug in 2016.  Joe is survived by his former wife, Lois Kost of Freehold Township; three children, Joseph Boywitt, III and his wife, Tammy of Neptune; Douglas Boywitt and his wife, Sarah of Red Wing, MN; and Joanne Lopez of Freehold Township; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and siblings, Carol Castranova and her husband, Dominick, Chester Boywitt and his wife, Agnes and Mike Boywitt, all  of Freehold Township, and Gary Boywitt and his wife, Debbie of TN.
