Obituary of Josephine Polimine
Josephine Polimine, 91, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Josephine was born, raised and lived in Brooklyn until moving to the Silvermead section of Freehold Township in 2001. Josephine worked as a child care provider at Gil Hodges Bowling Lanes, Brooklyn for many years. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine. Josephine relished in her time playing bingo, shuffleboard, bocce, and tending to her garden. She had a passion for the NY Yankees but family and friends were her only love.
Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Dominick Polimine; daughter, Rose Polimine; Brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Emily Maisano; daughter-in-law, Theresa Polimine; and a brother-in-law, Santo Artale. She is survived by her sons, Richard Polimine and his wife, Yvette of Newfoundland, PA and Stephen Polimine of Freehold Twp.; three grandchildren, Michael Polimine and his wife, Michelle of Freehold Twp., Laura Polimine of Freehold Twp., Alyssa Polimine of Freehold Twp.; and a sister, Carmela Artale of Freehold Twp..
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
