Obituary of Chester A. Jameson, Sr.
Chester A. Jameson, Sr., 78, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2018 at CareOne at Holmdel. Chester was born in Long Branch and was a lifelong resident of the Morganville section of Marlboro. He was a heavy equipment operator for Marlboro Township for over thirty-five years until his retirement in 2002. Chester was a life member of the Morganville Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1. He was also a member of the Bucktown Hunting Club, Woodmansie.
Chester was predeceased by his first wife, Jennie in 1980; and three brothers, Jerry, John and Randy. He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Jean Jameson; his children, Victoria Jameson, Chester Jameson, Jr., Adam Jameson and his wife, Brandy, Debbie Cromer and her husband, James, and John DeLaney, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Makenzie, Cordell, Dylan, Marissa, Jennie and Shannon; siblings, Warren, Roseann and Teri; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
