Obituary of John A. Lopes

John Armand Lopes, 30, of Howell passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at home after a long battle with addiction.  John was born in Long Branch and was a lifelong resident of Howell.  He was working for Home Depot, Howell for the past several months.  John also worked at Harvest Café, Farmingdale and was a welder.  A lover of good music, he had a passion for fishing and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  John had a contagious smile and the ability to make everyone laugh.

John was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John and Delores Kondrup.  He is survived by his mother, Laura Kondrup Lopes of Howell; his father, Armand Lopes of Bonita Springs, FL; siblings Kara Lopes of Forked River and Daniel Lopes of Howell; nephew, Jayden; niece, Annalise; paternal grandparents, Armando and Julia Lopes of Bonita Springs, FL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

A visitation will be held at Monmouth Church of Christ, 312 Hance Avenue, Tinton Falls, NJ 07724 on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 10:00 AM until his funeral service at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be private.  Repast to follow in church building.
