Obituary of Susan Brueckner
Susan L. Brueckner, 73, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. Susan was born and raised in Red Bank. She lived in Irvington and South River before moving to Freehold Township in 1977. Susan retired as a home delivery contractor of the Asbury Park Press with routes in Freehold Township. Prior to that, she worked as a posting machine operator at Monmouth County National Bank, Little Silver. Susan was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Freehold and volunteered as a cookie mother for the Girl Scouts and a Spark Plug for the Boy Scouts while her children were young. Susan had a passion for arts and crafts and loved spending time in her garden tending to her flowers and vegetables. She had an affliction for the artwork of Thomas Kinkade.
Susan was predeceased by her parents, Spencer D. and Rachel Miller and a son, Richard Michael Brueckner. She is survived by her husband, Siegfried “Bob” Brueckner; three children, Heidi Clift and her husband, Jeff of Bellmawr, Kenneth Brueckner of Freehold Township, and Lori Brueckner of Freehold Township; two grandchildren, Melissa and Rebecca; two sisters, JoAnn Voorhees of Cohasset, MA and Nancy Coakley of Fair Haven; four nieces; a nephew; and many good friends whom she has created lasting relationships over the years.
All arrangements were private. Burial was held at Fair View Cemetery, Red Bank.
