Obituary of Janet R. Bumbera
Janet R. Bumbera, 83, of Howell passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Bucyrus, Ohio and settled in Howell in 1965. Janet worked as a special needs bus driver for Howell Township Board of Education for over 30 years. As a longtime leader of The Church of the Master UMC in Howell, she was dedicated to helping others. Janet was a cub scout leader, den mother, and booster club leader at Howell High School. She enjoyed traveling and music. Most of all, Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Janet was predeceased by her youngest son, Kevin Bumbera and his son, Christopher; and great grandson, Dane Paul Blei, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bert Bumbera of Howell; five children, Steve and Maureen Bumbera of Wall, David and Diane Bumbera of Howell, Gary and Anita Bumbera of Farmingdale, Eric Bumbera and Valerie Smith of Jackson, and Tamra and Wade Tedder of Howell; a brother, Richard and Janet Dunbar of Bucyrus, 13 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at The Church of the Master UMC, 110 Salem Hill Road, Howell.
