Obituary of John J. Volo
John J. Volo, 87, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at CareOne in Jackson. He was born in New York City, raised in Manhattan and had lived in Brooklyn and Whiting. John was a US Army veteran who served in the Korean War and later worked as a banker for Chase Manhattan. He was a sports fanatic and absolutely adored his grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his wife, Mary Volo in 2013. He is survived by his son, Paul Volo of Piermont, NY; daughter, Lori Impastato and her husband, James of Freehold Township; five grandchildren, Jonathan Impastato and his wife, Melissa, Andrew Impastato and his wife, Kristen, Jenna Zampella and her husband, Daniel, Thomas Volo and Olivia Volo; great grandchildren, Juliette, Isabelle and Kiley; and one sister, Josephine Stanolevich of Manhattan.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon commencing with his memorial service. Inurnment will follow in Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
