Obituary of Mary Obrochta
Mary Obrochta, 89, of Farmingdale passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at home. She was born and raised in Elkhorn, WV and had lived in Elbert, WV before moving to Freehold Township during the late 1960s. Mary settled in Farmingdale in 1974 where she was a homemaker and an active member of Farmingdale Gardens. She was also a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed crossword puzzles, scratch-offs, watching her shows, and trips to Atlantic City.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Frank Obrochta; daughter, Martha Hauser; sister, Dorothy Morgan; and brothers, George, Ralph, and Jimmy Haluski. She is survived by her children, Patricia Grady and her husband, Mark of Gilbert, AZ and Frank “Joe” Obrochta and his wife, Jerrianne of Jackson; five grandchildren, Robyn Tosick and her husband, John, Jackie Going and her husband, Todd, Rick Risner and his wife, Erin, Joey Obrochta and his wife, Heather, and Jessica Hauser; six great grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Addie, Ella, Karlee, Tanner, and one on the way; brother, Donald Haluski and his wife, Michelle of Tuscon, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM for the procession to her 12:00 PM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, North Main Street, Farmingdale. Interment will follow in Brigaider General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
