Obituary of Teresa Di Taranto

Teresa Di Taranto, 95, of Howell passed away at home on Friday, June 29, 2018.  She was born in West Virginia and raised in Deliceto, Italy.  Theresa moved back to the United States in 1954 and lived in Brooklyn before settling in Howell in 2001.   She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking, including making homemade pasta.  Taking care of her family was her greatest joy and Theresa was happiest when she spent time with her grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Luigi Di Taranto in 2011. Theresa is survived by three children, Domenick Di Taranto and his wife, Carol of Midlothian, VA, Matilda Rourke and her husband, David of Howell, and Alexander Di Taranto and his wife, Carol of Haymarket, VA; seven grandchildren, Christina Ramirez and her husband, John, Michael Rourke, Alex Di Taranto and his wife, Niki, Christopher Di Taranto, Nicholas Di Taranto, Angela Di Taranto and Anthony Di Taranto; and great grandson, John Joseph. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM graveside service on Friday, July 6, 2018 at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
