Obituary of Russell V. Watson

Russell V. Watson, 44, of Holmdel passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at home.  He was born in Lakewood, raised in Brielle, and had lived in North Carolina before moving back to New Jersey in 1990.  Russell lived in Howell before settling in Holmdel two years ago.  He worked in the housekeeping department at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood.  Russell loved playing the guitar, debating, and riding his bicycle.  He had a passion for religion and literature.  His favorite foods were Swedish Fish and pasta.

Russell was predeceased by his son, Russell Watson in 2015.  He is survived by his mother, Lillian Watson of Howell; father, Russell J. Watson of Henderson, NC; siblings, Annmarie Casaceli and her husband, Philip of Howell and Angela Doherty and her husband, Paul of Howell; nieces, Laura Casaceli, Jaka Doherty, Piper Doherty, Meave Doherty, and Claire Doherty; and his aunt, Donna Cusimano and her husband, John of Lansdale, PA.

Burial of ashes will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township, NJ 07728.  All arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.  For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
