Gary D. Stuart, 66, of Freehold Township passed away at CentraState Medical Center on Sunday, July 22, 2018. Gary was born on Staten Island and lived in the Port Richmond section prior to settling here in 1977. He worked as a bill poster for over thirty-five years retiring from Outdoor Media, Lakewood. A lover of music, and a great entertainer, Gary played piano for Slippery Kool and as a solo artist throughout the area. He played basketball and loved watching it as well. Known as a man with a complex mind, Gary also had a green thumb and tended both flower and vegetable gardens.
He was predeceased by his father, James Stuart, Sr.; and his brother, James Stuart, Jr. Gary is survived by his companion of 33 years, Robert Seamon of Freehold Township; daughter, Vanessa Stuart Carretta and her husband, David of Howell; son, Jesse Stuart and his wife, Shilpa of Toms River; three grandchildren; his mother, Hazel Stuart; four siblings, John Stuart, Kathleen Stuart, Christine Stuart and Glenn Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with his funeral service to follow.
