Obituary of Geraldine Durso

Geraldine E. Durso, 85, of Lakewood passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and had lived on Staten Island and in Marlboro before settling in Lakewood. Geraldine was a member of the Italian American Club. She was a homemaker who loved socializing and trips to Atlantic City. Geraldine enjoyed bocce ball and bowling. Her number one priority was her family. Geraldine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

Geraldine was predeceased by her former husband, Frank Roszak in 2012; husband, Frank Durso in 2012; and sisters, Victoria Filippi, Mildred Curatola, and Rose D’Angelo. She is survived by her two sons, Gerard Roszak and his wife, Annette of Howell and Frank Roszak and his wife, Carmela of California; step-daughter, Patricia Hansen; six grandchildren, Mara, Leea, Nicholas, Chelsea, Phillip James, and Jaden Bryant; sister, Theresa Goralski; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, August 6, 2018 at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, 549 Newman Springs Road, Marlboro. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made in Geraldine’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
