Obituary of John J. Buonansonti
John “Jack” Buonansonti, 80, of Howell passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at home. Born and raised in Staten Island, he moved to Howell in 1976. Jack was an avid fisherman and spent most of his retired life on his boat, Mystic Blue, fishing on the Great Bay in Tuckerton.
Pop is extremely loved by his family and will be greatly missed. He was always a strong husband, father and grandfather who we all relied on, looked up to, and admired. It was his strong love for his wife, who is battling cancer, that caused his heart to break. He will always be in our hearts.
Jack was predeceased by parents, Louis and Margaret Buonansonti; his sister, Theresa Knott; and his brother, Louis Buonansonti. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan Buonansonti; his children, Lori Jamison and her husband, Ricky and John Buonansonti and his husband, David Marotta; his grandchildren, Anthony Jamison and his wife, Antoinette and Michelle Jamison; and his great granddaughter, Avery.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with his funeral service to follow at 7:30 PM.
