Obituary of Valentina Becker

Valentina Becker, 71, of Middletown passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 31, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  Valentina was born in Turin, Italy.  She came to the United States in 1950 settling in Newark.  Along with her husband, Valentina moved to Middletown in 1977.  She was the store manager of Encore Books, Middletown until their closing.  Valentina also worked for the Middletown Board of Elections as a poll worker for many years.  She had a love for animals especially her cats.  Valentina enjoyed spending time outside in her garden, and a good book.

She was predeceased by her parents, Leonid and Elizabeth Tumanov.  Valentina is survived by her husband of fifty years, Steven Becker and her sister, Irene Tumanov of Parlin.
