Obituary of Ida DeMario

Ida DeMario, 97, of Jackson passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.  She was born in Tupper Lake, NY and lived in Brooklyn, Staten Island and Daytona Beach, FL before settling in Jackson.  Ida nourished her family with Italian dishes and their hearts with love.  She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Ida enjoyed getting makeovers by her great grandchildren and always spending time with them.  

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John DeMario in 2006.  Ida is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Viscuso and her husband, Anthony of Jackson; granddaughter, Cheryl Tenneriello and her husband, Joseph of Jackson; grandson, Lance Viscuso and his wife, Kim of Freehold Township; granddaughter, Nicole Hawileh and her husband, Ramez of Staten Island; and six great grandchildren,  Alexandra Tenneriello, Bianca Tenneriello, Christopher Viscuso, Anthony Viscuso, Serena Hawileh and Michael Hawileh. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Monday, September 10, 2018.  Entombment will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.  For those who desire, contributions in Ida’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
