Obituary of Walter Tumeniuk

Walter Tumeniuk, 87, of Lakewood passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick.  Born in Kiev, Ukraine, he was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. Walter graduated from Dartmouth College, Hanover in 1954 and worked as an accountant for Ciba-Geigy Corp in Toms River, retiring 35 years ago. He was also a member of the St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Church, Howell.

Walter is survived by his wife, Dina Tumeniuk of Lakewood; children, Irene Beliaeff of Lakewood, Natalie Tumeniuk-Gallucci and her husband, Adelio of Orange, CT, and Alex Tumeniuk and his wife, Anna of Orange, CT; six grandchildren, Larissa Peluso, Peter Beliaeff, Nicholas Gallucci, Natalia Trainor, Tatiana Tumeniuk, and Alex Tumeniuk; and two great grandchildren, Mila Peluso and Christian Trainor.

A pannyhida will be held at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, 200 Alexander Avenue, Howell on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 7:00 PM.  His funeral liturgy will be held at the Cathedral on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow in St. Vladimir’s Russian Orthodox Cemetery, 316 Cassville Road, Jackson.
