Obituary of Joan Buonansonti

Joan “Joanie” Buonansonti, 79, of Howell  passed away at home on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.  Joanie was born and raised in Grant City,  Staten Island where she remained until settling in Howell in 1976.  Joan and Jack were the owners of A-General Sewer & Drain. Holidays and family gatherings were what Joanie treasured more than anything, baking and cooking for her loved ones.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling to Italy, Ireland, London and Paris.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, John “Jack” Buonansonti earlier this year; and her sister, Kathleen “Chickie” Gregorio.  Joanie is survived by her son, John Buonansonti and his husband, David Marotta of Interlaken; daughter, Lori Jamison and her husband, Ricky of Marlboro;  two grandchildren, Anthony Jamison and his wife, Antoinette of Middletown and Michelle Jamison of Marlboro; great granddaughter, Avery; sister, Patricia “Pat” Thomas of Lee, FL; and brother, Bob Shields of Naples, FL. 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, November 4, 2018  from 2:00 to 5:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 5:30 PM.  Interment will be private.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, vist www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
