Obituary of Samuel Nir

Samuel Nir, 88, of Howell Township passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Captial Health Medical Center-Hopewell, Pennington.  He was born and raised in Poland, moving to the United States in 1958.  Samuel had lived in New York City and Massapequa, NY before settling in Howell Township in 1994.  He worked as an electrical supervisor for the City of New York, retiring in 1993.  Samuel was a veteran of the Israel Defense Forces.

Samuel was predeceased by his wife, Ida Nir in 2014; two brothers; and three sisters. He is survived by his son, Elliott Nir and his wife, Ellen Kenny of Pennington; daughter, Debra Nir of Brooklyn; granddaughter, Eleanor Nir of Pennington; brother, Itzhak Nir of Belgium; and sister, Shula Bak of Lakewood.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
