Obituary of Adrienne J. Aumock

Adrienne J. Aumock, 84, of Virginia Beach, VA passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at home.  She was born and raised in Adelphia, NJ, settling in Virginia Beach in 1994.  Adrienne was a homemaker and volunteered her time as a class mom at the Burlington Road School, making cupcakes and crafts for classes.  She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Adelphia Fire Company.  Adrienne loved to garden and make flower arrangements.  She enjoyed calligraphy, taking cake decorating classes, and was known for her beautifully crafted Christmas bows.  Adrienne had beautiful handwriting, and everyone looked forward to her birthday cards. She also enjoyed traveling and loved living on the beach, looking at the ships and watching for dolphins.

She was predeceased by her husband, George J. Aumock in 2007; daughter, Brenda Aumock in 1959; and great grandchildren, Hannah in 2004 and Jaried in 2003. Adrienne is survived by her son, George J. Aumock, Jr. of Maurertown, VA; daughters, Linda “Lynne” Uher and her husband, Larry of Virginia Beach, VA and Cynthia “Cindy” Matthews and her husband, Jack of Howell; and grandchildren and great grandchildren, Shiloh, Dana, Rava, Josh, Logan, Kamryn, and Ryley.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with her funeral service to follow at 12:00 Noon.  Interment will take place in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.  For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
