Obituary of Keith D. Wimberley
Keith David Wimberley, 60, of Farmingdale passed away on January 24th, 2019 at NYU Hospital with is family by his side. The son of an Army man, Keith was born in Patterson Army Hospital, Fort Monmouth, and grew up in Menlo Park Terrace. His father’s military assignment brought his family to Germany, and then to Virginia. In 1999, he settled to Farmingdale with his wife and children. Keith worked at Starpoint Solutions in New York City. An avid golfer and a Giants and Mets fan, he enjoyed ski trips with friends and watching baseball. He loved spending time at the shore at his beach house and fishing. A devoted father and a great “girl dad”, Keith’s favorite pastime was rooting his daughters on at their track and swim meets. He was loved by all and considered the life of the party.
Keith was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Merle Wimberley; and brothers, Stephen Wimberley and Mark Wimberley. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Ivelisse Salort Wimberley of Farmingdale; daughters, Ivelisse Blake and her husband, Robert of Shark River Hills, Meryl Wimberley of Farmingdale, and Eva Wimberley of Farmingdale; and brother, Griffin Wimberley and his wife, Donna of Jacksonville, FL.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale 07737. Please meet at church.
