Obituary of Rodolfo G. Ongsiako
Rodolfo G. Ongsiako, 87, of Manalapan passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019. He was born in Manila, Philippines and had moved to America in 1958. Rodolfo had lived in Holmdel and Old Bridge before settling in Manalapan six years ago. He was an ophthalmologist and owned his own practice in Parlin, retiring in 2011. Rodolfo was a member of the American Medical Association and was an active staff member at South Amboy Hospital. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the piano, chess, golf, tennis, billiards, and swimming. Rodolfo also loved traveling with his wife and friends. Most of all, he was a loving and caring father and grandfather.
Rodolfo was predeceased by his wife, Leonida Ongsiako; and his brother, Augusto Ongsiako, Jr. He is survived by his daughters, Maria V. Ongsiako of Manalapan, Elizabeth Salcedo and her husband, Glenn of Freehold, and Deborah Ongsiako of Old Bridge; two grandchildren, Cassandra Austin and her husband, Matthew, and Bruce Ongsiako; four sisters, Lilia Garcia of the Philippines, Lydia Camina of the Philippines, Angelita Santos of San Francisco, and Pacita Serapio of San Francisco; and a brother, Augusto Ongsiako of Middletown.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM with his funeral service to follow at 4:30 PM.
