Obituary of Helen M. Kuron

Helen M. Kuron, 89, of Atlantic Highlands, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Bayside Manor, Keansburg. She was born in New Brunswick and raised her family in Milltown before settling in Freehold Township in 1969. Helen was a devoted wife and mother, and a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for over 35 years.

A woman of many virtues and interests, Helen thrived on helping others and readily lending her ear to anyone in need.   She was a wonderful cook and baker who also loved to bird watch and peruse antique shops in search of that hidden treasure. She shared a passion for music with her late husband, and those who loved her will fondly remember her joy as she sprang into song and dance upon hearing that first note.

Helen was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Gunther W. Kuron, who passed in 2008.  She is survived by her daughter, Helen; son, Gary and his fiancée, Rose; grandchildren, Phillip Wentz, August Kuron and his wife, Jessica, and Lindsay Kuron and her fiancé, Rafael; two great-granddaughters, Maya and Halsey Helen; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Helen’s family would like to acknowledge the outstanding care she received while residing at Bayside Manor (“Helen K!”) in the final months of her extraordinary and exemplary life, with extra special thanks and heartfelt appreciation to Katelynn. Thank you.
