Obituary of Linda E. Parker

Linda E. Parker, 69, of Farmingdale passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.  She was born in Red Bank and raised in Port Monmouth.  Linda had lived in Belford before settling in Farmingdale in 1992.  She worked at Geraldine L. Thompson Nursing Home in Allenwood as an LPN prior to becoming a bus driver for Freehold Township Regional High School, retiring in 2016.  Linda was a member of the VFW Post 9691 Ladies Auxiliary in Howell and enjoyed taking classes with the Tangled Thread Knit and Crochet Class at the Howell Senior Center.

Linda is survived by her husband, Willis R. Parker of Farmingdale; son, Roger Farwell and his wife, Robin of Hazlet; daughter, Linda Knarvik of Belford; grandson, Jake; brothers, John Downes and his wife, Claire of Manalapan, Guy Downes and his wife, Lee of Port Monmouth, David Downes and his wife, Maryanne of Port Monmouth, and Darren Downes of Port Monmouth; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.   Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:30 AM funeral service on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the funeral home.  Interment will take place in Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.  For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
