Obituary of Thierry Jean-Charles

Thierry Jean-Charles, 54, of Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  He was born and raised in Haiti and had moved to the United States in 1987.  Thierry lived in East Orange before settling to Freehold 12 years ago.  He worked as a production operator for Teva Pharmaceutical in Elizabeth.  Thierry loved playing and watching soccer.  He was a reserved and hardworking man who loved his family dearly.

Thierry was predeceased by his father, Oswald Jean-Charles.  He is survived by his wife, Sergette Jean-Charles of Freehold Township; children, Serge Jean-Charles of Freehold Township and Sagine Jean-Charles of Freehold Township; mother, Euphemie Leblanc of East Orange; siblings, Allain Vervil and his wife, Marie of Texas, Ludger Vervil of East Orange, Sabine Vervil Newton and her husband, Marcel of Macungie, PA, Jean Leblanc of East Orange, Betty Jean-Charles of Montreal, Canada, Mirline Jean-Charles of Montreal, Canada, Judith Jean-Charles of Florida, Sheila Jean-Charles of Haiti, Papito Jean-Charles of Laval, Canada, Jean Claude Jean-Charles of Montreal, Canada, and Reginald Jean-Charles of Florida; lifelong friend, Etiene Charles of Williamstown; step-father, Cernomy Leblanc of East Orange; brothers-in-law, Rouzier Guillaume and his wife, Dina, Castel Guillaume, Helaire Guillaume and his wife, Marie Jude, Oswald Guillaume, and Joseph Laime and his wife, Emsuve Lajoie; sisters-in-law, Valine Constant Guillaume, Macdele Herard Guillaume, and Exolde Guillaume; and many friends.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 8:00 to 9:00 AM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold.  Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Freehold.  For information, directions, or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
