Obituary of Angelo "Julie" Rocco Romolgia

Angelo “Julie” Rocco Romolgia, 84, of Jackson Heights, Queens, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson Township.  He was born in New York City, raised in Jackson Heights, Queens, and moved to Montague in 1998.  Julie proudly served in the United States Army and worked as a truck driver for over 60 years. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #139 in Montague and was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  Julie enjoyed spending time at the casino, especially Atlantic City.  He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and being around the lake. Julie was always traveling and lived a very full and adventurous life.

Julie is survived by his sister, Marie Elena Humel of Freehold; niece, Vera Shaw and her husband, Walter of Long Island; nephews, Edward Humel and his wife, Kari of Sarasota, Florida, Leonard Humel of Marlboro, and Joseph Humel of Austin, Texas; four great nephews; two great nieces; and many cousins and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.  All arrangements are under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
